PeunPa’s Mission :
To decimate the illegal wildlife trade and end the tide of habitat destruction
Nature crimes are robbing the world of its life-supporting resources. Organized syndicates of plunder the planet’s national parks and wildlife sanctuaries with virtual impunity in areas where law enforcement is poorly supported, lax, or non-existent. Their reach extends into national parks and wildlife sanctuaries and they deliver illegal wildlife products to every corner of the globe.
Anti-Poaching and Anti-Trafficking Work

Poaching and trafficking in animals, trees and other plants is not simply a matter of national or regional concern. It is an illegal trade of global magnitude whose value is surpassed only by the arms and drugs trade.

PeunPa supports the anti-poaching efforts of rangers in protected areas and the anti-trafficking efforts of law enforcement officers in cities and rural areas. We engage with local communities around the protected areas, where most poachers originate, to make them more aware of the need for nature conservation and to assist them in developing alternative income-generating occupations.

PeunPa also conducts assessments of protection and training requirements for protected areas throughout Southeast Asia. Based on each assessment, we develop comprehensive training and protection plans, tailored specifically to each protected area. We also conduct assessments and develop training programs for anti-trafficking officers and units based in cities and at international ports and airports.
Reduce consumer demand: Awareness, Education and Events

The illegal wildlife trade is a multi-million dollar business. Every year, hundreds of thousands of wild animals are illegally transported across the region on their way to misery or death. To address the problem, PeunPa teams up with JWT, one of the world’s largest advertising firms, to produce campaigns include series of public announcements by local celebrities and politician and advertising campaigns to stop illegal wildlife trade. The latest collaborative effort with JWT launched in 2007 by the Thai Government’s aim under the ASEAN-Wildlife Enforcement Network (ASEAN-WEN) to combat the wildlife crime in an urban area. The campaign, called “Sold Out”, warns if we let the illegal wildlife trade continues, the animals will disappear from the wild and no amount of money can bring them back again. Remember “Every time you buy, nature pays”

You can help stop this. Don’t buy endangered wildlife. Don’t support the illegal wildlife trade. Help us financially or practically. Participate in our education programs or join us in various awareness campaign events. If you have information about illegal wildlife, report to your local authorities.
